Edmonton’s Food Delivery Couriers: Fighting for Every Dollar
Food delivery drivers in Edmonton face shrinking pay, rising costs, and the constant toll of deadheading between orders. After expenses, many earn as little as eight to nine dollars an hour. A new Canadian-built tool, GoRide.ai, is changing that reality by tracking every kilometre, expense, and tax deduction. Drivers using the platform report boosting their net earnings by three to four dollars an hour, giving them greater control and a clearer path to sustainable work in a gig economy that often leaves workers in the cold.
